Paris Part 2: Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame and The Lock Bridge

This day involved miles of walking. We set foot out to see the Arc de Triomphe in the morning. It was raining almost the whole way there and back, so we decided to split the day in half, considering Audrey wasn't a fan of the rain. We finally made it to the Arc de Triomphe, took some photos, then headed back. Chris heard there was this famous hot chocolate place called Angelina, that has theeee best hot chocolate ever. So on our way back we searched high and low, walked everywhere and when we finally came to it, the words "Closed For Restoration" mocked us. We weren't the only ones that were fooled either, there were about 3 other couples that had such disappointed looks on their face. So we settled on another cafe and got some decent hot chocolate there instead and then headed back to where we were staying.

In the afternoon we headed out with a fresh set of legs and made our way toward Notre Dame and the Lock Bridge that was right next to it. After walking through the other side of town and a couple naps in the backpack later, we arrived! The line was tremendously long, so we just decided to take a good look from the outside and then make our way to the Lock Bridge. We bought a lock and wrote our names on it to add to the bridge. It was a fun experience!

We headed back and listened to the rain from our window and praised our legs for making that long trek...okay maybe I was just praising my legs because I'm a tad out of shape. The place we stayed in was TINY, but hey I guess it allowed for close family bonding! Before we even arrived in Paris, Chris was talking about The Palace of Versailles. We realized we only had Sunday left and then we had to leave. My mind wanted to do more, but my legs and body were telling me no, I'm too exhausted. We last minute attempted to fit in The Palace of Versailles for the next day along with our lunch on the Eiffel Tower. More pictures of our last day in Paris to come!
