This week was busy, it was a good busy. We filled the days with laughing, sunset watching, drawing, getting lost in our little own town, failing miserably at dying easter eggs, salvaging hair bows so that they fit still, eating breakfast for dinner, and transitioning out of the love month and into Spring and the celebration of Jesus' resurrection!
Yeah, the Spanish eggs here are no bueno for Easter egg dying. I kept checking the recipe to make sure I used the right amount of ingredients and drops of food coloring and was very baffled. Why did my eggs have bubbles on them? Why is this taking forever? Why isn't the dye sticking to the egg? HUH?! I took them out of the cups and the color came right off. I felt defeated and just let them air dry. Once they dried, they looked rustic and kind of interesting. My eyes were pleased and they are now sitting on our dinner table as our centerpiece. Viola!
In other news, it's hoppin in our home with lovely bunnies on the wall. I had told Chris that there are bunnies in our home with fluffy tails and he replied, "Are they real?" GOT HIM! I moved the love garlands into Miss A's room to add more girly touches to it. I love this season where Spring welcomes us, the weather gets warmer, flowers begin to sprout and bring color to this world, and where I reflect a lot on why we celebrate Easter.
