Our weekend was productive. It consisted of rainy days, reading books on the couch, barbecuing, church, exploring when the sun came out, cookies, learning how to drive stick shift, fresh veggies, and of course laundry.
Rain gives freshness to life, it brings new mercies, clear perspective. Every once in awhile rain is good for me. It reminds me to be thankful for the sunny days. Sometimes it's a bummer to have rainy days on the weekends because we just want to get out and breath fresh air. But no matter the weather, I cherish the weekends with all that I have. Chris' work hours are extensive during the week, so the weekend is a time for relaxation, a time to let down, a time for sleeping in, a time to fit in long conversations we may not have time for during the week, snuggles and cuddles in bed when all three of us wake up in the morning, and to reflect on our busy week. I am grateful for a hardworking husband, who although works long hours, still manages to make time for our baby girl and me.
Happy Monday
