Last night was rough. I was hit hard with overwhelming thoughts and difficult challenges life brings. Chris brought up a simple reminder that I easily let slip away more often than not. It wasn't something that was going to solve problems or make them disappear completely, it was plainly this, to take one hour at a time, to take the day piece by piece. Then I was reminded of how my dad always told me to 'eat the sandwich one bite at a time. you can't eat a whole sandwich in one bite, it's impossible, just take one bite at a time and slow down.'
I have to go back to the nitty-gritty sometimes and freshen up on my attitude and disposition on life. I slowed down a little and I reflected on all the good things the Lord has done for me in my life and how He has not once left me in the midst of any situation I've been through.
Take today and focus on five things that you are thankful for.
It may change your whole day.
It did for me.
