We had a great three day weekend. Lots of winds one day and for Monday it was a fantastic day of weather! The beaches were calm and the sun was shinning.
Hubby let me escape the home for a few hours and I was able to go out to lunch with some girlfriends and their kids. It was a nice time with the ladies...consumed Italian food, chatted about girly things, and they warned me NOT to get my nails done on base like EVER. When I returned home, we took our usual route to the grocery store and picked up a few things to prepare for this upcoming week and weekend.
I baked some brownies, made some stew, and enjoyed hearing hubby and baby bond over the long weekend. We ended MLK weekend with a delightful walk on the beach and hot stew. Some cuddling happened on the couch and learned about birds from Planet Earth. I say it was a successful MLK holiday!
