Amsterdam Part 1

Wowee what a trip!! We took a six day trip to Amsterdam, Netherlands! We had an amazing time there, exploring the wondrous canal ring, experiencing the tulip festival, getting lost in the lush green Vondelpark, and taking in all the sites and charming city!

The buildings as you will see are spectacular and take on their own characteristics and charm. There was this absolutely beautiful park, called Vondelpark, right around the block from where we stayed that we explored and walked around in.  It was also where we found the IAMSTERDAM sign and was must to get a picture in front of.

Upon arrival we took a trip to the market to pick up some groceries to have at our apartment where we stayed. You will see I took a picture of the large selection of cheeses in the market, then proceeded to ask, "Which one is gouda?" and the clerk responded, "...all of them are." ...oops... The gouda was awesome and I was a bit dumbfounded.

I was all about asking on this trip: Where is this place? Where is that place? How do we get there? Are we on the right train? Will this take us to Central Station? What time is it leaving? Where can we get one of those? We owned up to being tourists right off the bat. With Chris' baby backpack almost never leaving his back and my camera almost never leaving my neck we played the part pretty well.

I will be posting more pictures in part 2, 3 and yes even 4. Stick around if ya want to see more!
